Do you like “rustic” as much as us? If so, there’s nothing like the look of forged iron! This set comes with a hand forged “brute de forge” style butter knife and a matching butter dish. Brute de forge is when something is forged to its final shape and dimensions without any grinding or cutting to achieve it. The butter knife is made from 416 stainless steel, weighing in at approximately 9oz and an overall length of about 9.5 inches. Available in singles and sets. The butter dishes are hand forged and sized for one stick of butter. They have a hammered texture and have been butter blackened. That’s right, these butter dishes were blackened with none other than, butter! This process consists of heating up the dish then quenching it with clean butter, leaving a beautiful dark grey colored finish to help protect the steel. They measure approximately 2 3/4 inches by 6 inches and the edges bend up approximately 1/4 inch from the table.
